From the beginning of human life...
until about 10,000 BCE this time period was known as the Paleolithic Period. Humans traveled in groups of 20-30 people. They spent most of their time hunting and gathering and dividing the work between the men and women. Women would gather fruits, berries, and other gathering foods, while the men would hunt for game animals. To help with the gathering and hunting simple tools were created. Spears and axes were made from bone, wood, and stones. Up until this point, these early people have started to cultivate crops and domesticate animals. This shift in time was known as the Neolithic Revolution.
